Adapting to the Virtual Learning Environment: A Case Study
Dr. Salyer worked as an Assistant Professor at Tusculum College and Pfeiffer University before entering government service at the Defense Language Institute, Foreign Language Center (DLIFLC). There, she served as the Senior Research Scientist, conducting and overseeing applied research projects for the purpose of improving the quality and effectiveness of DLIFLC programs and testing procedures. She also served as the Director of Educational Technology and Program Management, in the office of the Deputy Chief of Staff for Information Technology; she planned, managed, and executed the largest DOD Enterprise Mobile device deployment, which included over 12,000 iPads and MacBooks used by staff, faculty, students, linguists, and military units. Dr. Salyer is now with the DoD, Defense Personnel Assessment Center, at the Office of People Analytics. As the Executive Program Director for the ASVAB Career Exploration Program, she is responsible for creating, delivering, evaluating, and monitoring all program materials and assessments.
