Yi-jung (Sally) Wu is a doctoral student in the Department of Educational Leadership and Policy Analysis with a doctoral minor in Educational Psychology at UW–Madison. She received a master’s degree in International Human Resource Management and Comparative Industrial Relations from the University of Manchester, UK and a bachelor’s degree in Mathematics from National Cheng Kung University, Taiwan. Prior to her doctoral studies, Yi-jung worked as a secondary school mathematics teacher. Her research interests include the interdisciplinary studies of educational administration and organizational psychology, and exploring the academic mobility, career development, workforce transitions of international students. Yi-jung has used quantitative, qualitative, and mixed methods to conduct her research. She is currently working on her dissertation that focuses on K-12 school leadership. As an international student herself, she hopes her present qualitative research on the career development of international students at a Midwest US university will help other international students smoothly transit to the labor market.
